Retreats 2027: Our 20th Anniversary!

Registration opens soon! (When it does, a new Registration Menu item will be added.) We'll celebrate 20 years in the Rainforest, from our humble beginnings. And for 2027, we're adding a 5th session! Other plans for our big shindig are already underway.

Three years with 4 sessions now! We had 28 writers at one of the four retreats that were brand new. Hard to believe 2027 will be 20 years of retreats in the Rainforest. It all started in 2007 with one session and 25 writers.
Four new Rainforest Inspirational Award recipients were chosen by attendees, and they all received the lovely handmade awards featuring our Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus mascot. Names added to the big plaque. Congrats to all!

Happy New Year! We've got a pretty full batch of sessions, but there are some spots that I'm filling from the wait list. And the wait list isn't too long at the moment, a dozen or so. It's possible I get through the list. If you're thinking about the possibility of attending, get on the wait list! Might still get to your name.

The four sessions of the retreat for 2026 have sold out. If you still have interest, Please do get in touch via the contact form (or the director's email if you know it) and get on the wait list right away. Some spots will open up in almost every session after a look at what rooms attendees are taking, sharing or not, and what rooms might still be available.
2025 Retreats & Inspirational Award Winners

The 2nd year with 4 sessions went very well. A whopping 773,725 words total! This year, due to my retirement from the day job, I was able to go back out a few days early before each session to have time to chill and write on my own without admin duties. Definitely added to MY word count.
Four new Rainforest Inspirational Award recipients were chosen by attendees, and they all received the lovely handmade awards featuring our Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus mascot! They will have their names added to the big plaque. Congratulations to all of them!
